I disagree with the headset being bundled with the console. I mean let's put this in perspective, how many people today have a bluetooth-compatible cell phone? Those who had BT phones, there's no reason you don't have a headset for it while driving.
Pair it to the PS3 and move on folks, no excuses. There's also a PSEye which works just fine.

Not a lot of teens use bluetooth on there phones and teens are half of the gaming population. The eye isnt good for a mic 1 people can barely hear you two you wont be able to hear people clear.

I'll add one more thing:
On the other console it comes with a headset right? I think the more people who have headsets, naturally the more people will be rude, obnoxious, and not work as a team player. I like how it (for the most part) is on the PSN. People I meet that have headsets are usually intelligent, crucial team players. People who buy headsets or use ones they had for online gaming on the PS3 are generally those who want to be better online, working on a team or not.

Actually, NoXiiOuS_xMW teens are not the majority of PS3 owners. I do believe folks between the ages of 20-40 are not teens which is why you hear more and more that the PS3 community has a more "mature" audience. As far as the PSEye, once again I disagree with you 100%. My brother which lives in Florida, me in Ohio played all the way through RE5 co-op. I was using the PSEye, he was using his BT headset he uses on his blackberry.
After a view adjustments on the mic volume, had no problems.
I've also used it for Burnout Paradise, no issue there either.
And just for the record my upload hovers around 500K, DL 15mb on my broadband connection.

If it drives to cost up. I don't think so.
If people really need a headset, they can just go out and buy one. Bundle with an online only game too = meh.
