Hi, first off I have a PS3 (40GB), a 2wire router (1000sw) with DSL and use wireless connections for both my laptop and PS3, it takes at a minimum 10 hrs.- 18hrs. to download a demo (1427 MB). I've heard others complain that their downloads take up to an hour to download (at this point I can only wish for that it took an hour). Is there anyone out there with the knowledge that can help me fix this problem, this can't be normal in anyones standards, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used Speedtest.net and others for both devices and resulted in the following;

  Laptop speeds: Download = 5030 kbps, Upload = 623 kbps

  PS3: Download = 746 kbps, Upload = 623 kbps

Got the same thing going on here. Trying to download Hard Rain demo and it says it is going to take over 18 hours!!!!  I have it hard wired into my router and the desktops does very good in speed tests.  Last Result:
Download Speed: 58245 kbps (7280.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1669 kbps (208.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

The problem is most likely that you are trying to download during "peak" hours (at night or on the weekend) It took soo long to download the UP demo for girls that I just turned my system off.  Tried again in the morning and it was done in 10 mins.  HTH
