My Ps3 has gotten YLOD for the second time. I sent it in once and paid $160, now they expect me to pay this again? They must really be morons. I have already spoken to a supervisor and he gave me the bs "sorry nothing we can't do once out of service warranty, must pay or get it exchanged". Well you know what you pos, your company screws me Ill screw you and your supporters. In the end I benefit, cause now I'm a JB my new slim and never have to spend a dime on your crappy system again!!!! $300 is worth paying one more time. So I win, now I will never support you guys ever, ever again, until your system security gets broken down on your new hardware. WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER!!! These guys run a good scam, I may have fallen for it twice but never again. I'm sorry to say this.... but LB2, U3,Infamous2, KZ3, Socom 4, and maybe others which I would have bought here I come. There always has to be a balance, the rich and powerful can't think they can do w/e they want and get all benefits.

Ya imagine that, you have to pay to get something repaired thats out of warrenty, this is shocking and completely new to sony, no other company does this.

Oh wait, this is standard practise.

Really, like Sony would give a ****, theres only a thousand "waah im never buying ______ again" posts every day, why not go start an internet petition? im sure that will work.

I had the same problem, my first ps3 died so i sent it away a FEW MONTHS later i finally got it back, everything was fine then it died again. I rang up Sony they gave me the same talk "sorry but its out of warranty you will have to pay the $180 to have it fixed"

WHY can't when we send our ps3's away to be fixed we get another years warranty? (i guess they wouldn't make as much money out of it)

But i just went out and brought a slim, which was on special at the local K-mart, the thing that gets me is that i had my ps2 for about 8  years with no problems whatsoever, but then along comes the new NEXT GENERATION of video games and my ps3 dies within a few months!
