Re: PS3 stolen, is it possible to track my on-line account? - Please Help!!!!

Jul 5, 2010

I suggest calling sony to see if the account can be traced to where they are. Also, don't change your password because then they won't be able to log into it and get traced by anyone. That is, unless you have a credit card saved on it without a password prompt for when you buy stuff on the  ps store. But it might make it easier to track.

I was advised by someone on here who was a cop that writing down you MAC address and keeping it in a safe place allows cops to trace the ps3 when it goes online.  I forgot the explanation of why the MAC address can help but if you happen to have it written down somewhere you might be in luck.
