PS3 Backup Utility

I just bought a new HDD and I want to use the Backup Utility so I can restore my files. My question is does the Backup Utility backup my Music,Photos, Games, and Game Saves?

What I wanna know is this

I bought warhawk with an alt account back when I thought you could play it across your ps3's acounts well now I'm in the same boat in upgrading my system again and if I erased the account I got Warhawk from would I still be able to play it if I backed it up and just had 1 account again?

@TheRookie45,

Yes. The built-in backup & restore saves everything on your PS3 HDD. Games & game data, saves (including virtual PS1/PS2 card saves), and all your media (photos, music, videos).

The only thing it doesn't save is your local PSN account info (name & password) and local system settings. Those are stored in the system's flash memory so they don't need to be backed up for a HDD swap.

@gamesblow,

No. The DL version of Warhawk has a single account license. It can only be played on the account that purchased it. Actually, on any DLC if you remove the account that purchased the content it won't be playable (but at least on most DLC you can play across all accounts on the system).

Does this apply to save data that is copying prohibited? I would like to back up UFC Undiputed 2009 save data but under the information it says "Lock Copying Prohibited".

the copy protected saves will not transfer over, that is what i read/heard on other forums.  also if a game was installed on the HD the first time you played it you will have to re install it but that i think only happens when you restore data from one PS3 HD to a different PS3 HD .

I am in the exact same boat as you KOzura , .... i have a 60gb PS3 and i am trying to upgrade to a bigger hard drive like a 320gb , i would like to buy a 500gb or 640gb but i have read that they make disk based games on the  skip on audio (which sounds horrendous) so im not goin with that but back to the "locked game saves" UFC 2009 undisputed which i have about 10 Created Fighters (CAF)'s  and just got 100% in trophies and still play the gamewhich i would REALLY want transferd to my new Hardrive. I was confused when i looked to copy the data to usb it was protected ...  I hope someone from SONY can give us a reply here about this issue.  Anyone with info ....plz
