Japanese PS3 controller

10 replies 4 views Edited Feb 6, 2009
Does anyone in here have the Japanese PS3 controller and notice that it's of much higher quality than the American one?  I just got 2 Japanese PS3 controllers, a white one and a silver one and they're both built like tanks (comparable to the x-box controller) and makes the US controller feel like cheap plastic.  And they're also heavier.  Does this difference exist with the console itself?

Are both your NA and JP controllers the same model? If your NA controlers are the original sixaxis and the JP ones are dualshock 3 then yes there is a huge difference but not because of where they're from. The DS3 is much sturdier than the original Sixaxis.

yeah, I got the white Dual Shock JP model before it was released here in the states. And yes, it is deffinetly different than the black DS i bought here in the states. The white JP model is slightly larger and feels more rugged. I'm going to order a couple more from JP just in case.

Yeah, I picked up a DS from Japan when the patch first went out to allow DS controllers.

I just recently picked up 2 more here in the states, and they just feel... different. And it's not that new controller feel.
