Open Windows Media Player. Go to Tools. Then to Library. Then enable sharing and check the box when your PS3 pops up to allow acess to your Media Player library contents.
Unfortunately, it's only a DLNA server, so it's utter crap. Nothing worthwhile like dvd collections on hard drives.

Its nice, if you have your ps3 hooked wired, to your router. I had to crawl under my place and run internet two all rooms and take them up thru floors but its nice. On wireless it kinda sucks with media player cause you got to copy everything to hard drive but music, if you want to play it all the way thru nonstop.
I got a cat 6 cable from computer to router and ran cat 5e under house to each room back to computer room for it to be as good as im saying though. But it was my idea from the start so it only took one shot.
