FREEING UP SPACE ON PS3

IS THERE A WAY TO FREE UP SPACE ON THE PS3 HARD DRIVE? IF SO HOW DOES ONE GO ABOUT DOING IT ? ALSO CAN YOU COPY THE GAMES THAT YOU DOWNLOAD ONTO A FLASH DRIVE OR DUO STICK?

I've been wondering the same thing, since I don't have any money for a new harddrive and my current one is only 40GB.

You can delete any downloade game if you haven't played it in for a long time; and you dont have to worry, you can always download it again from PSN but only 5 times, that is if you haven't been gamesharing.

the best way to free up space on the ps3 is to buy a nice cheap 500gb hard drive, its easy and it takes less than 1 min to swap it in and out

You can delete games from HDD and you can also move game save data to a flash drive if the drive has been formatted to the PS3 file structure(FAT32), some drives are formatted for the XP file system(NTFS).

no you can only back it up on to a external harddrive
