Why didn't they just turn this into a BASH SONY FORUM: I mean every single post is about someone being overly upset with there ps3. I have my ps3 updated to latest firmware I love it! awesome graphics/online gaming is great/ movies are great. I just don't understand how all these features it has are being overlooked because of a removal of linux being able to run on this. I can almost understand being angry for your ps3 failing cause of hardware or whatever but.....come on guys? if you want linux that badly just don't update and use it as a linux box

a lot of people that spent more than $299 (slim) wants to use the system as advertised.

some dropped more than $500 for the system to have the otherOS option.

i, for one, am part of that group that spent more than $500 but i don't use the OS so i'm updating.

If i want to use linus on my pc i will go put it on my pc. These are the features that are expected nowadays. It needs to play movies, have good graphics and game online. It's the little things like linus support that made me buy the ps3 over the 360. But tomarrow i am going to go ahead and put my black box up on ebay

You know, starting a new thread is kinda counterproductive to accomplishing that. You could've just closed your web browser or traveled to another site.
