My ps3 will randomly flash red then turn off. It was doing it for a while but it stopped and tonightt when I got black ops 2 tonight it just shuts off and blinks red. I have tried letting it cool down. I have cleaned the dust out what else can I do?

I'm having the same issue. The only other time I've ever had this issue was with Uncharted 3. I hope there is some way to fix this. I can hardly make it through a single match online without it shutting my system off.

Yeah it sucks because it isn't ylod because if it was it wouldn't even turn on. I keep reading that its probably overheating so I'm gonna try to just let it sit. And if that doesn't work I'm gonna restore it.

when ever i put black ops 2 in my ps3 will shut off and it only happens with black ops 2 my ps3 works fine with black ops 1 if anyone has figgured out what to do let me know

That's the same thing that happened to me I can't imagine what could be the problem.

Hey NoFnMercy. What model PS3 do you have? Does this happen with other games as well?

I have the same issue and also have the fat one. Only happens when playing BO2, can't even finish a mission (campaign or online) without it shutting off.

Black Ops II shut my system off and now it won't come back on. Anyone figured anything out?
