laptop screen for use with ps3

I'm just wondering i have an asus eee pc 900 and was curious if i could use this

No.  The VGA port is a video output.  Not a video input.  You can't connect anything to it to display video on the laptop screen. Laptops don't generally have a video input port.  You would need some kind of video capture device, which is going to cost a lot more than $2.25, or $9.99 for that matter.  Think $100-$200 minimum.  Even then, you would only be able to play in standard definition.  The Asus eee PC wouldn't be fast enough to process a high-definition input signal in real-time to support game-play. It would be less expensive to just buy a portable LCD TV.
