I agree, I've yet to have a hardware problem from a update. Are people purposely turning off there system during update to say they've got a problem?
Don't turn off you're system when things load! wait till the HDD light is done flashing then u can turn it off! not during updates, or game updates. Bad idea turn off you're system when updating.
It's not a update problem at all. People are having hardware, failures, those have nothing to do with updates. I have yet to have a problem, I have a 60 gig PS3 bought sept 07!
Don't turn off PS3 when HDD LIGHT IS FLASHING!
When u play a game, don't turn it off during game. Chances, are that the HDD LIGHT is flashing at a save point or checkpoint don't do it.
I have a launch PS3 60GB. I've done every single freakin update! I have never had a problem. Now you might be saying alright maybe it's certain models? WRONG. My family owns PS3's as well as my friends. I know people with 20GB's 40GB's and even all the 80GB's! B/c/ No B/C. 4 USB/2 USB. I've seen it all. We all update the same way through wireless internet. Not one of us has had a problem. FW Updates do NOT NOT NOT ruinPS3's!
yes, it's true, the only reason people claim this is because they are some child looking for attention on the forums, just ignore them the best you can because they shouldn't always get what they want.
I know that updates dont mess the system up, but sometimes they bring the updates out to fast and not complete all the way so some times you may get freezes here and there. I also spoke with SONY about it they said "we been having alot of calls about that and we are investigating the situation about the frimware." They said alot more but i just cant remember right now. But a frimware always have its up and downs thats why they bring out new ones to fix that down part of the old one.
that really sucks, because now sony is going to be hard at work trying to fix the update problem when there was nothing wrong with it and may even release the same update twice and it becomes a vicious circle of bs just because of these kids.
