Yeah, sounds like some of the people posting on here work for Sony. I was one of the unfortunate ones a few years ago that updated my system right around when Modern Warfare 2 came out and my system crashed right after. NOW...IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN!!! Wake up people!!! Just because this problem didn't happen to you does not mean it's not happening. Think about it, they wouldn't purposely infect all ps3's with the update because Sony would undoubtedly be held accountable. However, if you only infect a percentage of ps3's it's way easier to say it was a coincidence. Very sneaky. Good way for Sony to push their surplus of ps3's to households on the heel's of the upcoming ps4, also a good way to make money. It's all about money. When this happened to me a few years ago I swore to never buy another Sony product(besides replacing my ps3 because I already had a bunch of games) and I have stuck to my word. Never again Sony!!! This is not the only Sony device I own that has been affected by their updates. My Sony receiver worked perfectly fine with my Samsung 3D TV and Samsung 3D blu-ray until I did a mandatory update to my Sony receiver, I could no longer watch 3D movies through that receiver, and behold, what hits the market...a Sony 3D receiver!!! If this is not enough evidence that Sony is tampering with their product's through updates then you are drinking their Kool-Aid so to speak. This planned obsolescence needs to end. It's depleting our world of resources and creating more garbage than we can deal with. Consumer's are being taken advantage of all over the world by most corporations who have bought our government's and in turn our legal system. So good luck with a class action suit. Your own action's, self control and making other's aware is the only way to take the power from these ruthless corporation's and put it back into the hand's of the consumer. WAKE UP!!!
