Sounds pretty cool! Now if only we can get cross game chat like sony promised they would put in.

heres my problem with it
They're still giving devs the choice whether or not they want to allow saving to cloud.
Meaning we still might not be able to backup some games

I think that cloud saves will work. The question is will the save system be the way that we all want it?

Im hoping it turns out like trophies where they let devs chose up to a point in time when they will be able to allow for us to upload any saves. This does still suck though, if it stays like trophies and devs have a choice to a point where they mandate it, then we can only hope they add the support for older games.

"The way we all want it"? What exactly does that mean?
The game saves to a server, you change the hard drive, and you restore the game saves remotely. Seems it would be pretty simple. Are you looking for something more convoluted? "Well first you enter the date the Declaration of Independence was signed, then you enter your birthdate, then you press the letter Q seventeen times, alternating between capital and lower case letters...".

I think you're gettin 150MB of storage space. And gamesaves are the onle thing that you can store. Al least that's what I've been hearing, for now.

F.Y.I it is only for PlayStation plus and Playstation Plus is a good deal in the first place but I don't have it because it doesn't give discounts on map packs for games like Call of Duty.

I just tried out the cloud storage option and here is what I think sony did right and wrong
Right
1) Having the option. Sony gets credit for having the option available
Wrong
1) Way too little space. 150 MB might sound like a great idea, but not all game saves are in the KB range, some are in the MB range. Instead of 150MB, have 150 GB or 1000 GB.
2) You can only download saved game data from the storage once every 24 hours. Why is this? When we want to check our email, we just check it on a server. There is no wait time. There should not be a restriction on downloading storage data.
3) You can't archive game data, videos, episodes of Qore, or PSN games. Now I know that this is just the first day for cloud storage, but game data, episodes of Qore, and PSN games are what take up the most space, not save data.
It's great to see the online cloud storage, but things need to be added to it because it doesn't benefit me at all, but then again, I have lots of ps3 games, not everyone does.
