I have a Plantronics USB headset that I'm trying to use with my PS3, and I can hear chat through it, but the mic doesn't seem to register. It works fine with my computer (Windows 7 Thinkpad, if that helps at all) but not on the PS3. I did set up the audio device settings and it seems that the mic isn't even registering on that menu.
I had a similar issue with a Jabra Bluetooth, on BF3. Haven't tried it on any other games though. The PS System finds the device and recognizes it, but it doesn't work in game. I never found solution. One responder said my issue was directly related to BF, and it was a common problem. I still wonder if it is a way for Sony to ensure purchasing of their overpriced Headsets.
For me, it was not game specific, though I wanted to use it on NHL 13. In the audio settings menu, there is supposed to be an indicator of the microphone registering, but there is nothing registering there either.
