Nail on the head. I use my ps3 under linux to remote-desktop-record video games on my pc because it transcodes on-the-fly much faster. It's also my backup pc, and I ain't giving it up. I had a ps1, a ps2, my ps3 is a launch 60, I have 31 ps1 games, 41 ps2 games, 11 ps3 games, a PS Eye, Logitech headset, Driving Force Pro wheel, and many controllers and accessories. I have never owned an xbox, or any console made by Nintendo or Sega, including handhelds. And I am not downloading 3.21 or buying any Sony product again until OtherOS is restored.

Which PCs or Macs come with IBM Cell processors and cost less than $600?

I cant believe they made this manditory! I couldnt play any game online until I did it. They tell you you wont be able to use any feature tied to sony if you dont do it and you get an error from getting online. I just had a feature removed from my system by force. Oh if you plan to not use your console then you dont have to update, but if you do, then it's optional to update so you can use what you paid for...
