I guess you are right there, but still I just feel like Sony could've had all these ideas in the works a long time ago and I know 360 has a patent on most of it but man...........

well alot of what MS has, they've had before even the X360 was released. MS also specializes in software for alot of what the Xbox360 has already so it's only natural for them to quickly deploy alot of what is available on their system.

Sony is still trying to figure alot of what they want to do with the system and how to get it into place. For instance alot of the multitasking features on the XMB and the XMB itself had to be slowly patched in over the course of two years. Getting InGame XMB as simple as it seems onto the PS3 was a huge task for them.

MS's patents are really not something to worry to much about they have stuff in their OS and on the X360 that they are infringing upon for patents by other companies. Even the XBL service infringes on two patents I believe.

I don't even use Skype, so I wouldn't know what to do. Why get something advanced, while you could get something simple? In-game chat will be the anwser. It wouldn't be copying the Xbox 360 console, so M$ can't do nothing about it. I mean after all both the Xbox and PS3 are copying Wii for their controller. Why not just copy Xbox with their in-game chat? Simple as it can get..
