So I just picked up the new model PS3, and when I'm in the Wipeout HD's menu for a long time, and the music loops to the beginning, the music immediately starts skipping like a CD you found on your floorboard. This didn't happen with my previous launch model PS3.
To reproduce this, make sure you're in the HD menu by going to Options>Game>Menu Style>HD. Then let the game sit for 5 minutes or so in the menu, until it loops to the beginning. You should hear the music skipping.
Can someone with a Super-Slim PS3 try this and get back to me? IF it's only with mine then I need to contact support. Otherise I hope Sony issues a patch or firmware update.
EDIT: I've done all the troubleshooting things: restore file system, reinstall, etc....
