Okay i have two ps3 controllers one that came with ps3 and one from gamestop that i brought. So i had left my ps3 home becuase i currently am in college and when i got back 2 weeks later the ps3 controller that came with the ps3 wont come on unless i plug it in and then when its plug it the lights flash once and then stays on but the buttons wont work and on the tv screen the ps3 menu will always be moving down and i cant move it up or left or right.I could use any type or help last resort is buying a new one because this will be my 5th ps3 controller.(p.s i try reseting it thats not working)
I had that problem before, the battery in my controller wouldn't hold enough charge to function properly anymore, ended up having to buy a new one, mine died from age, if yours was left at home while you were away and not used, could be the battery died from lack of charging. Might be best to just get a new controller.
I too have had controller issues.
I bought a third controller, and synced it to my system. The battery is in adequate charge when this happens, but the controller will go psycho sometimes.
I will be in the middle of a game and the controller acts as if the start button has been jammed down, and on occasion, some of the command buttons don't work.
It started after the period acceptable for a return, so I didn't try. I too bought it from Gamestop, but it was definitely factory sealed. These things cost $55.00, not sure why they still cost that much, but I feel like I dumped $55 on something I can barely use. Any fix options for this problem, other than throwing it against a wall and calling an end to it?
I did try, on multiple occasions resyncing it, letting the battery die and recharging it, then resyncing it. Nothing!
