Perhaps try unplugging TV too...
I have a Sony KDL-46V5100 TV and suddenly couldn't get my PS3 HDMI input on any port after 2 years of it working. Unplugging the TV for 30 seconds and turning it on by holding the power button for 10 seconds worked. Prior I tried everything I could find thinking it was the PS3 that was broken initially (unplugging the PS3, holding down the power on the PS3 for 6 seconds to hear a total of 2 beeps while turning it on to reset the video settings, updating the PS3 firmware, bought new HDMI cables, tried incorporating an HDMI switch in the mix [ref: http://www.thebuzzmedia.com/ps3-hdmi-black-screen]
Ok Same problem here but I think I got somthing new no one has tried yet....While tv and ps3 are on and set to proper inputs pull the HDMI cable out of the ps3 very very slowly. I got my signal back. I don't know what this means but it is a start.
I find easyway In PS3 go to Setting -> Display Settings -> Video Output Setting -> there select HDMI that's it. Then change to HDMI1 and you will see settings from PS3, there click on manual to select resolution and audio sourc
P.S. I'm on 4.31 version
Ok. the issue is with the system default settings easy fix. plug your hdmi cable in your. PlayStation and the Jack in your tv. be sure to put on hdmi 1 or 2 Hold the power button for seven seconds until you hear the SECOND BEEP THEN RELEASE answer question problem solved
If you bothered to read the ENTIRE THREAD, the video reset is not working for some people....
I had the same issue with my Samsung TV, took all the HDMI cables out and switched off both the devices (as suggested in the previous posts) plugged it back on and everythings working fine.
