Every time I try to update it's either stuck at "Please Wait" or it just gets stuck on 0% and the amount of minutes increases by 1000s or 10s. Can somebody help me?

Dude I've been having that problem all day! I bought Assassin's Creed III last night and same thing happens. It will get stuck at please wait or it will be at 0% with a 1000-2000 minute estimated wait for the download of update game data. I tried troubleshooting it all day and called customer support. I'm not sure if its a proper fix since I have not had an opportunity to try it yet but I was told to open specific TCP and UPD ports on your router/modem. Once I try it ill let ya know if it works or not.

Opening ports didn't work for me still same problem.  Psn better get their **bleep** together n fix these issues

ive had the same problem for the last couple of days with far cry 3 and dishonored. does anyone know anything?

All I know is that for the amount of money people invest in these electronics this is unacceptable.

I bought playstation all stars today and I'm sure I'm not going to be able to play online if i can't update. This is bad news.

The problem I see among these threads are most likely your internet provider or the plan you have. Verizon has issues to work out, check your plan if it supports internet gaming... I had that problem recently myself.
