PS3 Stated Corrupted Files

Had my PS3 for about 2 years now and just got the Corrupted files messages, Keep doing the ok button to restore data but nothing is getting restored, Finally went into safe mode to restore it to Default Settings, and not sure how long this normally takes but it is taking forever. Im noticing alot of this is happening to people as well.
