PS3 SOUND SCREWS UP AFTER QUIT GAME

i am a 40gb owner and i have a hdtv lg, sometimes the sound would get muffled after a game crash. Now, it happens everytime i quit the game whether it's from IN GAME XMB or the 'old' way. Then i have to go to video settings and reset the HDMI settings and it fixes the issue...sometimes. can someone help out or let me know if they arer having a similar issue. - THANKS

I'm just guessing but you may want to test a different cable out.  If the problem persists try a different HDMI port on the tv if you have one.  If the problem still persists call Sony.
