How do I retrieve a game I just bought at the online store?

I just purchased Need For Speed Most Wanted. It says it's downloaded in a file but it won't open or let me play? any suggestions?

You say it 'won't open or let you play', does that mean you can see the file?

You also say it's downloaded, but is it installed?

In your games list is there a 'bubble' near the top of it?

no I'm looking at it in the game data utility file.what should I do?

If the game downloaded successfully then it should install automatically after it downloads. If it doesn't, then you should be able to find the downloaded file in the Game category of the XMB. It won't be in any folder or utility. Just select the download file to install the game. If the game was already installed, then it will either be in the PS3 Games folder (if you organized your Game category by type), or elsewhere under the Game category if you organized it some other way. I won't have just disappeared, unless you downloaded it in the background, and it isn't finished downloading yet. You can check under Download Management in the Network category of the XMB.

what is the xmb? I'm new at this.and yes it says it is in the background file.

The XMB is the menu bar you see when you turn your system on and it's ready to go. From left to right it lists: Users - Settings - Photo - Music - Video - TV/Video Services - Game - Network - Playstation Network - Friends . Under Game there should be and install bubble Just after the Playstation Store bag and abouve the PS3 folder.

If youdon't see it then try going to the Playstation store and downloading it again or using the XMB go to Playstation Network and move to Account Management and press X then under Transaction management go to Download History and scroll down to where you can find the game you purchased and press download.
