my playstation works fine. it turns on and everything but nothing shows up on the tv. i know for a fact that it is on the right input, plugged in properly adn in the right spot and i tried several cables, yet it still doesnt work. PLEASE HELP ME.

If there is no image on the TV, then I'm not sure how you concluded that the PS3 is "working fine".  You obviously want it to do more than power on.  If you tried both display ports (HDMI and multi-out), and reset the video settings (hold the power switch on the console while it is in standby, until it beeps a few times), then the PS3 graphics hardware has probably failed.  In that case, the PS3 needs to be sent in for repair service, or replaced.

I know this may sound like a dumb question but...does your tv display any other images from any other source other than your PS3?
