the dual shock was released many years before the psx. but i did buy the original playstation before analog stick controllers were available.
i also will more than likely buy the ps4 when it is released. while i do not agree with sony removing the otheros feature, sony has been the lesser of two evils when it come to the hardcore game consoles. at least we don't have to buy proprietary hdds, controller charge cables, and wifi adapters.

That's why some slim owners are fighting this issue as well. it opens the gates. If they can get away with this, what else can they get away with?
The user-bought and installed HDDs were a bonus but not technically a "feature," so they could litterally do away with them if someone figured out how to crack them open on the PC.
Many things can be said about the white box, but not one of them is about removing selling points. I will definitely be buying the white box's replacement. The PS3's replacement?
