Sony,

As I appreciate that the change in the font and icon size is to make the XBM and associated options to be better viewed on SDTVs and smaller TVs, the change does make the icons and text quite large on other TVs.  Would it be possible to incorporate into the next update an option under the Theme Settings, Display Settings, or System Settings that would allow users to select whether or not they would like to use large vs original-size icons and large vs original-size fonts?  Thanks for your time and consideration.

i 100% agree. i'm fine with all of the changes in the new update except for the size of the icons. i play on a 46" samsung and the icons are just too big, they completely dominate my screen and any of the themes that i have on my ps3. i did hear they are fine on an sdtv, but i dont know. i do wish we had a way to change these, even if its only the 2 options of large and small.

When firmware 3.0 was release I was quite angry with it. But I never really gave it a chance like alot of us. So I'm going to highlight what I like. I like the new opening, but I liked the old PS3 logo (Not The Long One. The abbreviated one.) I like the sparkles they compliment the wave and I like how they interact with the XMB(You Have To Have A HDTV To Notice It.) I kinda like the whats new, it would be even better if it did saved movies like games and stuff. Sometimes I don't watch a full movies or video, so it would be cool if those was on there. I figure out that I was the reason for my music not playing. And I guess the grey boxes are cool. And finally I like the top right box the clocks pretty cool, the message indicator is what I always wanted since I got my PS3 in 2007. But it would be cool if yall added more options, meaning the XMB size. Let us be about to choose whether we want are font to big, bigger or small even the XMB. So with anything else. let us be able to have options in the setting. You can even call it Xross Media Bar Settings. That way it will be solely for things to do with the XMB.
