Are you freaking serious?! you dont need a cell processor to run a bunch of photos music etc.. i do that as well.. but it still dont justify the idiotic updates.

Again, without US your playstation would still be on update 2.4 for all i see it.. ah no sorry, it would have been 3.0, so sony could still push their crappy stuff to your box, like this "whats new".. they should have labled it "how we can take more of your money"

Oh and for those who stated "then go to pay for a yearly subscription", you know what.. i will! i am buying a xbox, but the next version of it.. there is no point in buying 360 now.. and that yearly subscription doesnt cost that much by the way.. and if you didnt know, sony is planning on it as well

Not all of the update was crap. There is a report to Sony option that comes up now after the system has locked up or had to be rebooted. This was not mentioned in the release notes and was not known about until after it was released. So complaining before hand is ridiculous.

With the exception of the friends list the current FW looks just like 3.0 did including the Whats new section.

The difference here is that Sony is adding a second tier that will be chargeable. The PSN as we know it now will remain free. This came directly from Kaz (sp?) mouth.

I have absolutely no problem with you stating your opinion as it is your right. However when doing so please use facts so that you don't mislead those who get a lot of their info from here.

ps. For those saying it should be an optional update, it probably shouldn't (and can't be) because of the crash reporting they added in.

After updating to 3.10 my bluray drive quit working.

Was working minutes before the update

I have 6 new games for my kids for xmas NOW ON XMAS NO GAME'S

I agree its pretty weak,however the "other option" gives you twitter WITH A GOLD SUBSCRIPTION.again im not saying its great,but its free.how do complain about something being free?spoiled brats do that.oh wait nevermind....
