FW 2.70 Removes AAC Support.

EDIT: Ok, it appears that some AAC Files of certain bitrates still work.
So just for the record, don't be calling me an idiot if all your AAC files work, because it was an issue, and i had to re-import my music.

Despite the tremendous cliche: EPIC FAIL.

Wow, Sony. LOL

April Fools, for sure.

Re: FW 2.70 Removes AAC Support.

This has got me seriously p*ssed.

When i'm not playing games, my ps3 is my main music player in my room.

Having a large chunk of useless music on it is NOT cool.

Re: FW 2.70 Removes AAC Support.

That seems like a very strange thing to do. Most if not all of the promotional videos in the PSN store are .mp4 files that use AAC for the audio (just check out their information via triangle). I assume that those still play?

Im sure that they won't play.
Though through experience, the PS3's AAC codec is actually .3gp when you copy them from PS3 > PC.
My files played perfectly before this update though.

oh that sucks man. I had all my music on my PS3 at one time too. I had to delete it though because 60GB isn't enough. All my files were AAC though so I'm sure I would have been on here yelling **bleep** is sony doing

It goes from bad to worse. Nothing SONY do lately makes any sense.
