Same Here might be maintance or just the network is down. Usually if you wait a couple hours it will start working again lol. Or you could try changeing the DNS as stated above but ehh thats a lot of work lol
getting this as well. psn is working fine but I am unable to download so much as a megabyte to patch a game. I just got Infamous 2 and it didn't update, decided to put in an old game (Little Big Planet 1) to see if it was just Infamous and nope, won't download LBP patches either.
I had this problem for a couple of days and found out the problem was that i was connected to a proxy server. Go to settings> network settings> Internet connection settings> custom *insert settings here* then when it comes to proxy server do 'do not use'
That worked for me, so if it doesn't work for you then sorry for not being able to help.

We have a possible solution that does not involve changing your DNS.
Follow these simple steps:
- Reboot your PlayStation 3 then try to reconnect to PSN, If this does not work follow the steps below
To update your DNS follow this path in your PlayStation 3′s main menu:
Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Custom > Custom Connection Method > Manual Settings > Scroll to DNS Settings – Select Manual > Input Ports 188.8.131.52 for your Primary and 184.108.40.206 for Secondary.
You may need to restart your PlayStation 3
There are several DNS you will be able to use that are public, you just need to do a little research to find them. (220.127.116.11 – 18.104.22.168 are Google’s public DNS).

I have never had this problem until now. I just purchased NHL 13 and put it in the PS3 system. A message appears saying that I need to get the latest update for the game, Version 1.02. Then it takes me out of the game for the update, but the update never starts and I get the 80710092 error message.
I have been able to connect to everything both before and after this error message. I can browse the internet on PS3 and I am also signed into PSN. I also am able to access the online modes of my other games without problems. However, the second I start NHL 13 up, it signs me out of PSN (which I believe it should), then takes me to the update screen, and then shows this error after saying "please wait" for a couple minutes. I am almost positive because of the information above that it is not an internet connection problem. I have no idea what the issue is, though. Any thoughts? Suggestions? Fixes?
This is just about to put me over the edge, I have gone thru these posts for about an hour now, At first my error code was 80710723, so I went in and disabled my media sever, then I got this error code 80710092 I have done everything I have read here, first I have no IP address then I get IP address but no internet connection, what in the double hockey sticks can I do to fix this I am afraid that I will destroy my system...
