Distorted Audio on The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray (RESOLVED)
I contacted Tech support about this and they suggested I post this for other users. Basically, the BD/DVD 'Dynamic Range Control' needs to be set to Off, until a bugfix is implemented... So, don't be disappointed if you hear distortion during movies. It's not the disc.

Why is the audio badly distorted (bass tones) when I play the Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray? The audio, mostly loud bass tones were clipping badly on all outputs. Using high quality headphones, the distortion can be heard right away during the Main menu video loop, and during various parts of the movie.
I did find a temporary solution:
Using the playback options menu (Triangle button), I checked my Volume setting, and saw that it was set to 'Normal', not +4 or anything too loud... So I then tried changing my 'Dynamic Range Control' setting from 'Automatic' to 'Off'.
That seemed to solve the problem right away... Setting it to 'On' was the same as setting it to 'Automatic' so I'm leaving it 'Off' for now.
Hopefully this helps someone, because of course The Dark Knight is one of those big titles with a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack, and I did at first think that it was the audio on the disc, and not the playback settings.
