Data Transfer Utility Quick Question

My roommate and I share an 80gb fat PS3 which only has 1gb of free space left. We are going to get a 250gb slim and use data transfer utility to move everything to the new system.

If we use this method, will we be able to re-download all of our PSN stuff on the new PS3? Like Call of Duty map packs, Rock Band songs, or the online passes to access the online portion of games? Thanks for the help.

You can redownload purchased content any time you like with no additional charge.

Re: Data Transfer Utility Quick Question

The Data Transfer Utility transfers almost all Playstation Store content to the new PS3, so you don' t need to download it; but yes, you will be able to download your PSN purchases to the new PS3 also. To use the Data Transfer Utility both PS3s must be activated under the PSN accounts that are on the source PS3.

Re: Data Transfer Utility Quick Question

you can copy stuff to an external either hdd or usb flash but theres 2 things to remember. any game saves marked "copy prohibited" of course won't copy. Any videos purchased from the psn store won't copy either and can't be downloaded again, which is why I stopped buying them long ago.
