Here are some facts regarding my problem:
1. It happens a few seconds after I turn my PS3 on, so I doubt it's an overheating issue or YLOD. My PS3 is placed in an "open" area with a fan beside it.
2. I found a corrupted file in my Game Data Utility. I deleted it a while back but could that have something to do with it?
3. It happens only AT LEAST twice and after that, my PS3 works fine.
Any suggestions as to what I should do? What caused this problem and how to fix it?

Backup utility is what you need to use, to backup and restore. The other commands would be more useful to you once you have a backup. But what you really need is a slim PS3. That fat one probably doesn't have a lot of life left in it...
