Ad Hoc Party problems after last PS3 Update.

[ Edited ]

Hi, after the last system update for PlayStation 3, Ad Hoc Party started showing connection problems making it impossible to play with Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy and probably other games. What happened? It will be fixed, right?

Re: Ad Hoc Party problems after last PS3 Update.

I had made a similar message prior to the boards' redesign. I'm guessing that they used an outdated back-up of the boards, unless they manually deleted the post, but the jist of it was the same: After June 26th's update, Adhoc Party seems to be working differently for every game that isn't Monster Hunter Freedom Unite- unless MHFU players are just very persistent.

But yes, Birth By Sleep times out for everything but D-Links now, regardless of each individuals NAT type. Not sure if any Sony reps scour these boards, so the most you'll get is fellow players confirming (or denying) your claim with their own examples.

Confirming that I, and many other gamers from the dissidia community ( http://dissidiaforums.com ) are also experiencing the same problem after the firmware 4.20 update. Sony customer services are unable to help with the issue and requested it be brought up on the official forums.

The issue lies in Dissidia Duodecim not working properly in Ad-Hoc Party after 4.20 firmware update. Players are unable to connect with others using the psn Ad-Hoc Party application.

If anyone else is experiencing the same issues please post in this thread in the hopes that it may get some attention.

Here is a small list of questions:

1. Can anyone confirm if Dissidia Duodecim is a supported title for Ad-Hoc Party officially? Sony is unable to provide me with an official list of supported games with Ad-Hoc Party.

2. Does Dissidia Duodecim work after the fimrware update 4.20 for PS3 for you?

3. Did anyone reach out to Sony and have any success in communicating this problem to Sony PlayStation customer support?

since the update Dissdia Dueodecim can no longer connect we other players meaning something happened when psn got the firmware update

1.wither this is official or not, Dissdia Dueodecim is listed under Ad-hoc party  Enabled  games

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Portable_games

but this has also bugged other games like KHBBS  and other games that are very often played on AHP program but are now unable to or became harder to play because of said glitched Firmware.

This has to get fixed A good number of players are on Dissdia Dueodecim on top of  that play this on a daily basis and use the program among many other games as well

Gods Eater Burst is also a victim of the 4.20 firmware update. No one can get a game started without everyone disconnecting. I really hope Sony fixes this problem and I'm stumped as to why Monster Hunter is the only game unaffected by this. It doesn't matter who hosts or joins, you won't experience any problems in Freedom Unite or Portable 3rd. Weird.

Does anyone know if Monster Hunter received any updates or patches after the 4.20 update?

Also to add: others have reported the same issues world wide, involving Duodecim. Those who are using EU or JPN Ad Hoc Party are suffering from the same issue. No one can connect.

Re: Ad Hoc Party problems after last PS3 Update.

I can confirm that since the ps3 4.20 firmware update, that Dissidia 012 has not been working.  Also all the games that were listed here including Kingdom hearts birth by sleep, all do not work as the result od the ps3 4.20 firmware update.

I really hope sony gets word of this problem fast, and fixes it.  Dissidiaforums.com community is really counting on it. PLEASE SONY!

Re: Ad Hoc Party problems after last PS3 Update.

C'mon Sony, so many good games are affected by the firmware update. At least stop sticking your head in the sand and say that you indeed made a booboo. There is no shame in saying you made a mistake, in fact, it's quite the opposite. A fix would be nice, but there is something way more important than that, that would be communication. People are getting mad because of a lack thereof.

Sony, I ask you to make Dissidia 012 [Duodecim] and all the others good games back on AHP just like asked lots of other people!!!

We can't just go play Dissidia: Final Fantasy just because of this 4.20 Firmware Update! I really hope you will fix this problem, and i'm not the only one who wants it,  thanks for listening to me Sony.

Re: Ad Hoc Party problems after last PS3 Update.

I've gotten Sony products since I was a kid ( we all have ), and I don't remember playing games like Ape Escape or Metal Gear and being unable to play the game properly due to an update.

I've bought a PSP for the sole purpose of playing Dissdia 012: Duodecim, I was very excited to play online and I went and bought about 30$ of DLC for the game, which was quite painful on my wallet, but not being able to connect means I wasted ALOT of money on this investment only to not even connect. My PS1 still works as it was inteded and advertised, I don't see why my PSP shouldn't.

Duodecim's online community has many active players and means alot to me ( as it's my only actual outlet I've had for years ).
These people are pretty smart, and deserved to be listened to.

Please Sony, don't overlook us and allow us be paved over for the new generation of games....    : (
