xbox style controller for ps2?

8 replies 242 views Edited Sep 22, 2006
Just wondering if some third party has released a ps2 controller with the d-pad and left analog stick switched like the xbox controller. It's a more comfortable design to me, and I know I'd enjoy certain ps2 games a lot more without the awkward controller setup. Thanks.

Yes there is one, for the x-box anyway.
You can use a PS2 controller on the x-box with some sort of converter, Im not quite sure what its called though.
Im pretty sure that the PS2 would have as well.

I don't think there's an XBox style controller for the PS2. The Logitech Action controller is nice but it's pretty much the same layout.

There's an adaptor that makes your PS2 controller work on your XBox or GameCube. I've never seen one that goes the other way. Most people prefer the PS2 controller over others so I don't know if one even exists.

Only thing I've seen is a controller with the sticks and buttons being modular, so you can switch their locations around.

I'm not sure what the name of the product is in North America.

That could definitely work. Guess I should clarify. While the dualshock is alright for most games, trying to play a first person shooter with it is a pain in the arse. I just prefer the placement of the left analog stick in the xbox controller. If there was a perfect controller, it would be the 360's, so I was hoping that if some company made a similar controller for the ps2 they might also make one for ps3. A 360 controller with tilt capability for the ps3 would be the ultimate in my book. Anyway, thanks for the link!
