using  component cable I only get  black-green-brown colors yet in good quality. Using the RGB cable - some games in full colors but most of them in blinking black and white.

what  can I do?

Are the component cables set into the correct slots? Installing component wires can be tricky, as there's so many of them (which means you might end up sticking one in the incorrect space). What I wasn't aware of though is that there is a way to setup your PlayStation 2 system via a component attachment. You might want to try a different method that was more common in the PlayStation 2 days such as the RF switch. This along with the AV wires (if they're still useful in this instance) would be a more typical standard for setting up the PlayStation 2 platform.
