K, now I know that all this talk about the FCC report about the PSP Go actually having a faster processor than past PSP models is FAKE, because it was actually for the USB, but that got me thinking....
Im afraid that they will boost the processor/cpu speed VIA a Firmware Update! Is this even possible, or is the CPU/Processor speed of the PSP go maxed out at 333 like previous psp's? Can it go any higher than 333? Does anyone think that a firmware update like this is a probability? They did it for the 1000/2000, could they do it for the Go?
Can anyone confirm or deny this and save me some unwanted worrying?

it's not possible to magically change the hardware by software.
the go and k series are maxed out at 333. it was always a max of 333, but was artifically limited to 222.
as for confirming or denying, I can confirm you are an idiot tech-wise.

ok then, lets say the number was slightly less, like 400mhz. Could it be a possibility then?
Are the spec's given from sony the MAX amount of speed it can do? When the psp 1000 came out, did they SAY it could be maxed out to 333, even before the 3.50 update?

so the specs from sony are the max that it can go up to?
Yes, the CPU max is 333mhz that is it. Right now unless they changed it not sure I believe the CPU is still running at 222mhz.

may I ask how you obtained this information on how 333 is the max?
And to anyone who witnessed the launch of the PSP, do you remember being told that the PSP 1000 could max out at 333? Or did the spec sheet say something different?
thanks in advance
