need some help

recently found my old psp 1000 still works but im having a hard time connecting to the internet.. seems when i scan my ssid pops up but  under security it reads not supported while signal strength it reads 100% im not really technosavy so i need some help

Your wireless router is probably set to use WPA2-PSK security.  The PSP only supports WPA, not WPA2.  You will have to change your router configuration to use WPA-PSK, instead of WPA2-PSK.
