I've been searching the forums for a solution but my problem seems fairly unique. When I try to connect to my wifi it goes through all the steps and does the connection test and then after the test the status comes up and it says signal strength 100% IP address, DNS Primary and secondary and all that and at the very bottom it says connection test failed. I've tried disabling the security on my router to see if that makes a diference but that still doesn't work does anyone have any ideas? I really want to sign on the PSN and download classic PS1 games is there a different way to get them onto the PSP without having to connect it to the internet? Ideally I'd like to just connect with my psp but if I can do it through the ps3 or my computer I'd be willing to do that.

If there was a problem with Wi-Fi security, then you would not have received an IP address, DNS server addresses, or anything else via DHCP. That isn't why the PSP is not connecting. You can also download content for a PSP using a PS3, or using a Windows PC running Sony's free Media Go software. In that case you would install content to the PSP over a USB cable.
