An internal error has occurred. (80410A0B)

Anytime I try to use the WiFi on my psp, I get a message saying ""An internal error has occurred. (80410A0B)" The light near the WLAN switch doesn't even blink, but the WLAN switch is on. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Everything else on my PSP works fine, its just the WiFi thats not working.

Re: An internal error has occurred. (80410A0B)

I've researched this error on several sites and the common factor between all of them is that they were dropped at some point. One person said it started happening after upgrading to FW 2.6 but it could just be they don't want to admit they dropped it or that they dropped it a while back but didn't use the browser until after they upgraded to 2.6. Someone else has reported this same error occuring on FW1.5 so I doubt the problem is FW2.6. So, have you dropped your PSP recently?

Someone else mentioned that this error could possibly be related to low wifi signal. Maybe this is an error indicating that the antenna for the wifi isn't working properly. Most people also noted that the green wifi activity light isn't lighting up at all so it could also be that the wifi portion of the PSP is simply broken, could be from getting dropped, shocked, getting wet, who knows why but apparently this error occurs when the wifi device inside the psp isn't responding.

In any case your best-bet is to take it back to where you bought it and try to get a replacement or check sony customer support and see if they will RMA it and replace it for you. Sorry about your luck. I know I would hate for this to happen to my PSP >.<

On another note, here are things other people have tried, unsuccessfully:
-Reformat memory card.
-Reset defaults.
-Removed battery for 15 mins then powered back up.
-Deleted all infrastructure mode pre-sets and recreated one.

There was mention of some weird "power-off the unit then cycle the WLAN switch on and off and turn it back on" procedure but the reference they gave to it didn't seem very crediable.

Just as a thought, try going to settings, power save settings, WLAN power save and make sure it is set to off, then turn your psp off and back on. See if that does anything.

Good luck

Hardware malfunction. Your PSP's wifi is defective.

Re: An internal error has occurred. (80410A0B)

I had the same problem after one of the firmware updates. I was unable to add new network connections because of the error but my exisiting network connections were still there and functional.

The secret I found was to edit the settings on an existing network connection, scan for a new network and re-save. The error would not appear and the new settings would be available to use under the old network name.

I've seen this on 2.50 and 2.80. I'm just now updating to 3.03 and I'll see if that "fixes" it.
