yesterday, i got a psp for my birthday and i got the one with rock band and the free movie. i tried to download the free movie yesterday and i lost my internet connection , so i restarted it and let it run over night because of how much time it said it would take. i woke up and it said that the download had timed out. so i tried again and again, and eventually i got a 80551005 download error. what is this error?

i also sometime have the download stuck in a activating screen where it says "activating... please wait." What can i do?

same problem,i bought a game on the psn God of was,and i get the 80551005 when i go to install,tried 8 times,want my money back

Are you guys using Media Go to download this stuff, or just off the PSP. Both my PSP's will drop here and there while downloading, if you have a PS3 it will download the said content really fast, but if you don't I would consider Media Go as it doesn't drop the signal as much as the PSP might...

hey,

i came to this forum becuase i wanted an answer to this problem... which doesnt look like there was... but after another 5 minutes of trying to download it stated that the psp store is down for matanience. is that what the problem could have been, or did you find that even if you tried to download the content a week later it still gave you the same error?

It just means your computer must be online and signed in to the PSN via Media Go. I discovered the answer when I downloaded some PSP demos and try to upload them from my computer to my PSP and quickly discovered I couldn't..
