redbox on ps3?

i think its dumb but my friend is trying to convince me that redbox is trying to bring streaming movies to the ps3, anyone know if this is true?

I think your friend is confusing Redbox with Netflix.  They're both video rentals--and they're both red...

I NEVER heard of RedBox, I only heard of Netflix and LoveFilm, that's all!

I rent moives and games form Blockbuster; in fact 1 of resones I got an PS3 is Blockbuster; the 2nd was to many red rings of direth.

That must mean that redbox doesn't exist (that is what you are saying with the tone of your post along with the unnecessary use of capitalized letters and the exclamation point).  Well I have never heard of LoveFilm so that means that it doesn't exist either.

 

 

redbox is a DVD rental service that uses automated kiosks, they charge $1 a night per movie.  You can find these kiosks outside of many McDonalds locations, Walmarts, and many other stores.  redbox is not involved in digital distribution or streaming of movies, they only deal with physical copies.  Your friend was either blowing smoke up your butt, confused redbox with Netflix, or is just stupid.
