I have been buying videos from the PSN store since it launched, and never had any problems until a few weeks ago when at least half the videos I purchase and download end up corrupted.
The file downloads ok, then when I play it there is significant video distortion, then it just stops playback and says the file is corrupt.
Is there a known issue or change that happened lately? No part of my home network setup has changed in over a year, so I do not understand why I keep having this problem.
If I cant find a solution I will have to stop buying from the PSN, since they do not allow you to re-download files I can't waste money on a purchase that may download corrupted.
It's possible that your hard drive is having issues. You may want to search these forums for information about how to boot your PS3 in recovery mode and try rebuilding the database.
