I've been using Netflix on my PS3 for over a month and it's been working fine, until about a week ago. That's when it started giving me the connection error. It first happened when I tried to watch a movie. I thought they were just having network problems so I left alone for a few days, then I got tech support from Netflix. He got it working for me after trying a couple things (1. set the date & time via internet, 2. delete Netflix BD data). I was able to watch a movie the other day, then today it gave me the connection error again. I repeated the same steps and got it working again. I was able to watch one episode of a series, then when I went to play the next episode it gave me the connection error AGAIN. And now I'm trying the steps again and it's not working.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Thanks.
EDIT: Ok, I just tried those two steps again and it worked.
Step 1: Settings -> Date & Time Settings -> Date & Time -> Set Via Internet
Step 2: Video -> BD Data Utility -> Netflix Instant Streaming Disc -> press triangle -> Delete -> Yes
Step 3: Video -> Netflix Instant Streaming Disc -> go to netflix.com/ps3 from a computer and enter the activation code from your ps3.
Can anyone confirm that this works consistently?

Thanks a lot. Just got my netflix disk, and it wouldn't connect. A quick search brought me to your post, and two minutes later I was streaming away

I'm having the same problem. Been using netflix for about a month now, no issues. Watched a movie last night, woke up today to watch some 'Weeds' and got the cannont connect to Netflix message. Tried their website for help, directed me here. I've tried the changing time method and that doesn't seem to be working for me.
I'm connected to the internet, and both my PSN and browser work on the PS3. Does anyone know of any other methods I could try?

@ SmjzJessieBear:
There's another thread on here where a handful of people have reported the same problem (worked fine yesterday, isn't working on today, 8/5/10). Some of them said that manually changing their date/time so the year is 2009 resolved the problem.
That hasn't worked for me, but it appeared to work for others, so you might give it a shot.

I am having this same exact problem. Its been working great since I received the disc months ago. Now it all of a sudden stopped working today. I've tried all the remedies listed here and nothing is working for me.
**EDIT**
So i set my time manually for 2009, loaded the disc and it didnt work. So i went and set the time via the internet loaded the disc and voila!
