Re: PS3 to Windows 7's Media Center

Hi Everyone,

Well, after many hours of pulling my hair out i finally figured out the problem i was haveing with wmp12. It wasn't my pc, wmp12, my network adapter or my internet connection. The problem was my ps3. Long story short... the solution was to hold down the ps power button and reset back to factory settings.

After going through the setup process everything is now working fine.

Also i tried other media servers like ps3 media server tversity etc... I was able to establish connections but it was very choppy and took a long time to load.

After resetting my ps3 these java and other media servers worked fine.

Funny thing is i spent hours searching the web for solutions and no where found this one. Well at least it worked for me.

Good luck to all and i hope this helps some of you.

Re: PS3 to Windows 7's Media Center

Got it to work with Windows 7 and WMP12, but it's not streaming properly. Starts and stops about every second. Any ideas?

Re: PS3 to Windows 7's Media Center

Yeah I got mine to work too!! It is not as easy to set up as mp11, but you should see your icon end up on your ps3 first not working, then go back to your pc in the streaming section to allow it and I believe it does not show your device, but it does work!! As for the stopping and starting I think this has to do with HD!! larger size files slow down the streaming process...now does this happen when not using wireless?... is what I would like to know....anybody?   !!!also when I watched the setup for the xbox on W7 for media center, they say it basically looks identical to the pc version, are they just luckier? or does it look like the media folders on the Sony 3?
