Yeah it's pretty fail, it's like most people go into the military just because they think they'll come out of it and automatically be a hero and be better than everyone else and get all kinds of special treatment etc. Their not better than anybody else and they will never get any special treatment nobody forces you to go into the military if you didn't want to be in another country without certain services you shouldn't of gone into the military in the first place, get used to it people, nobody forces you to join the military and no special exceptions will be given to you.

You are right no one forces you to do go into the military:
And defend your right to have the Free will to make exaggerated remarks about political, social, or militaryviews which in other countries would have you hanged.
And put our lives on the line in the face of adversity abroad AND it seems now HOME.
No one forced me to raise my right hand and uphold the freedoms and leisures that you take for granted.
To Spend months and months of time away, because "people back home" rely on things to go a certain way and cant do it themselves.
Yeah Gary you got it Right, no one ESPECIALLY a soldier expects special treatment becuase we give of ourselves freely. People who go into the military for the reasons you SEEM to think are the ones that people go in for usually wash out get bitter and make ignorant remarks... I have never nor WILL i ever ask for special treatment, I did not go into the Military to drum up hero points, or to look cool to my friends. I went in to defend my country and to challenge myself at the same time. To date, it has been one of the most rewarding decisions i could have made because a soldier did it before me and defended my RIGHT to do so.
In closing, I highly recommend you understand the weight of your nonchalant remarks, and how the burden is carried. Obvioulsy not by you. But by your military who makes sure that every night you can sleep knowing that tomorrow you can STILL run your mouth off for little or no reason at all.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in American English, thank a soldier.
I don't care, i don't ask anyone to go fight for me and i don't need them to, so you can stop trying to play that "Hero" card like i said in my previous post. I don't care who decides to defend America, it's not even my home country i was born in Germany, i could care less about America, if you wanna go fight for it go ahead, but it is NOT my country so you are NOT fighting for me, don't assume your fighting for every single person because 90% of us don't ask for you to go fight for us, so you are NOT fighting for us, don't claim to be fighting for someone unless they asked you to, that's basically putting words in someones mouth.

Your obvious lack of comprehension is overtly blatant in your rebuttal to my statements. I agreed that no one asked me to i did it on my own. And becuase i did, your "ninety percent club" can run off at the mouth for it. these presents are true for any country that has democratized Military service. Whereas your remarks are mostly about I ME MY. Mine are about the choices all people make. You are entitled to your own oppinion, just remember that everyone else is too, and if you are going to soapbox, you better be ready to hear everyone else as well.

The OP wasnt asking for Special treatment he was looking for a solution to a situation, he may not have been aware of the surrounding circumstances - whereas people have been trying to offer some fixes, you just seem to want to troll... In any case, if you feel you need to have the last word go for it. I find you lacking on so may fronts that to contiue this frackus with you would be no more enjoyable or satisfying than brushing my teeth with a cheese grater...

The people who serve this county is because they want to give back, they don't ask for special treatment and they don't expect it, they don't go to be heros, These people leave their families, and the comfort of home so that you can have freedom of speech, these things are not free someone had to give their life so that you have these freedoms, and someone has to keep doing it to make sure you keep these freedoms that you take for granted, you say you were not born here, but you are here cause its the BEST place to live.
