Being stationed in Germany, the television options are limited. I tried signing up for Netflix, but I can't stream via my PC, Wii, or PS3.
I understand about licensing issues, but there isn't a way to make an exception for those serving their country? Sony shouldn't be allowed to advertise these features on the box at the Post Exchange. People will problably tell me to just use Bit Torrent or something like that, but I'm not very tech savvy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Before he died, I'm sure Osama bin Laden had access to both programs. Probably a faster internet connection too!
Here's the Bust... You are TDY in another country. Sadly the items purchased at the station exchange are US versions. PS3s are REGION based not based onthe region they play in, what this means is that you are more than likely goin gto get a slow connection. if you are on a barracks and using the post ISP? you may want to contact htem and see if they can supply you with an IP range change for your connection - thyell know what you are talking about - otherwise, id just stream it on your PC til you get back stateside. Have you tried letting it buffer for a few minutes by PAUSING the show then starting it back up?
Just very frustrating that I can use iTunes and Apple TV, but no Hulu or Netflix. I have no problem downloading from the PSN Store (when it is up) or the Wii Virtual Console.
Thanks for the help though. Basically the only way to get the good stuff is to seal it or have someone tape it from the U.S. huh?
Major kudos to you and to all that serve in the armed forces.
However Sony is a major international coperation, and as such cant really make exeptions for millitary of a certin nation.
