Do you get movies right from your PS3 Or wat. I'm confused about this.
Check the netflix faq:
It is a simple process. A quick rundown is that you put the dvd Netflix sends you into your system. That will bring the dvd up in the video menu. Just click on the dvd and the netflix app will load up or do whatever it does. You then will have full access to you Instand Quee you have on you Netflix account, yes you need a Netflix account, and i believe one that allows you to use Instand Viewing. You WILL have to put the dvd in and follow those steps to use Netflix on your PS3.
Overview for first time use:
1. Get Netflix account and order DVD (free)
2. Put Netflix DVD into PS3
3. Go to Video Menu and select Netflix DVD
4. Take given activation code and apply it online (follow given directions to do so)
5. Add movies, tv shows, etc. to your Instant Quee.
6. Scroll to movie of choice.
7. Grab popcorn
(You can add movies, tv shows, etc. to you Instant Quee any time after registering at Netflix)
Hope this helps. Enjoy movie viewing.
Not totally sure about these, but I hear that the quality depends on your connection somewhat. Also, you don't get HD movies unless you are paying for the hi-def on your NetFlix account. The selection is pretty good - lots of TV shows and stuff like that. You don't get anything 'automatically'... you have to add stuff to the queue or select it to play. I don't think I'd use it for watching a movie or a new release because I'd prefer full-quality and surround, but for TV shows or older movies I think I'll use it plenty. Plus NetFlix ended up being cheaper than BlockBuster for me, and also has iPhone support, so they win.
Are u sure about that?
I read that as soon as u active Netflix on PS3, u get HD streaming, but i'm not sure... I just got Netflix, and I'm realling enjoying everything. I'ma play w/a few DVD's before I get into anything w/HD... also the Blu-Ray fee is only $2.00, so it's not too bad.

The quality of the movie depends on the movie itself. Some of the newer movies will stream in HD which is in 720p. All other movies are streamed in 480p. You will know if it is playing in HD because as the movie is setting up it will saying "Streaming in HD".
Hope this helped.
I've never seen the "streaming in HD" message, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting HD.
I've been watching Heroes season 1 and I am very impressed with the quality.
Quality is near-Blu-Ray. I'm watching on a 100" screen with a 1080p projector.
Resolution is definitely better than standard DVD, not quite as good as Blu Ray.
I was afraid wireless would not have the bandwidth to deliver HD, but it looks great.
I did watch an older movie and quality was noticeably worse.
My Connection is PS3 wi-fi connected to Linksys wireless router to cable modem.
I do pay for Blu-Ray access to Netflix.
Not sure about the sound. I will post again if I figure out whether it sends 5.1 or not.
