Except for Mobile Light Force for psone, there seems to be no "Bullet Hell" ( Or "Manic Shooter" if you will) shooters on psn. Mobile Light Force, from my understanding, is a port of Gunbird with a different name and god-awful cover art. I am new to this genre (mostly), much of the 90's was mostly rpgs, platformers, and fighting games for me. I did enjoy the Raiden and Aero-Fighters series, but I don't think those games qualify as "Bullet Hell" titles. I recently pulled my old dusty Dreamcast out of the closet, and have been immensely enjoying Mars Matrix, which I bought recently at a used game store.
Any other fans of this genre here? And if so, what are your thoughts on this subject? Also if I somehow missed a game in my search on PSN, please let me know. And for those who don't have a clue what I'm talking about or wonder exactly what a "Bullet Hell" shooter is like, here are some examples.

Just watched a video of soldner x gameplay, and I'm not sure it is in the genre, but like I said I'm new to the genre, so it might be. I do prefer the vertical over the horizontal ones but this looks pretty good and I'll probably get it anyway. Thanks for bringing my attention to this one

You may be right about 1942, but not all "Bullet Hell" shooters are Vertical, and not all Vertical shooters are "Bullet Hell". Though, most "Bullet Hell" games are Vertical. This is from what I understand from a little research. It is a little confusing, but apparently "Bullet Hell" is it's own sub-genre. And I'm not sure Gunstar Heroes is, though it may indeed be in this genre, the lines seem sort of blurry. Here are a couple article links for reference.
