Long-Lost PS1 Titles Needing PSN Revival

16 replies 15 views Edited Jul 21, 2008

It's no secret, there are definately some PS1 games that have been  almost lost in the backwash of the new gamming generation. Titles, I think deserve a permanent fixture in the Playstation Network Store. These are just a few off the top of my head:

Alundra

Alundra 2

Megaman Legends

Megaman Legends 2

Dragon Seeds

Jade Cocoon: Story of the Tamamayu

Final Fantasy Tactics

Chocobo's Dungeon

Legend of Mana

Legend of Legaia

The Legend of Dragoon

Saga Frontier

Saga Frontier 2

There are many, many PS1 games of great merrit that should never fall into complete obscurity, some of these games I've mentioned are nearly impossible to find these days outside the confines of eBay. And I'm sure many of you have games to add to this list.

I figure, if this list grows large enough, and people post more and more comments on this subject, then maybe Sony will begin cranking out PSN revivals of these games, saving them from the black hole of obscurity.

I look forward to future posts in this thread.

See Ya! ^_^

wow...that was very very bright, and kind of hard to read.  Since it hurts my eyes I kind of just quickly glossed over it, but I agree there are tons of classic games that need to make it on the PSN.
Yes! No! wait...what was the question again?

ha ha I own ever game listed there:smileytongue:

Hmm..

If I have to pick 3 games to be revived I would pick
1. Brigidine (Fantastic Tactical War based game)
2. Lunar: The Silver Star Story Complete (Easily my favorite Ps1 RPG)
3. Gran Tourismo II

Another game that I am guessing very very very few people have heard of would be Slayers Royal for Ps1. This was ONLY released in Japan and its fair hard to come to an Ps1 copy of the game (I am very lucky to own one). I would LOVE to see some of the japan only games be remade into English. Even if I had to pay a bit extra on PSN I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Ughh The Saga Frontier games need to stay dead. Those games sucked! Even the PS2 SaGa games were horrible.

You should add games like Xenogears, Vagrant Story, DQVII... there are many others.
